Dr. Smith prefers to take and examine x-rays of each of his clients annually. X-rays are used to examine for signs that your bite may be shifting and to look for other structural problems. They are also used to diagnose tooth decay, bone infection, periodontal disease, abscesses or cysts, developmental abnormalities and some types of tumors.
